Contents

Students should get to know and work on a major project from the field of accounting and finance. The project can also serve as preparation for the Master's thesis. In the ''Case Study'' part, students familiarize themselves with the basics of the project, either by spending several weeks in the field, by attending a research course lasting several weeks or by creating the data set.

Students learn to break down a large project into solvable subtasks and to work out its various facets as well as to summarize it in writing in a report including an executive summary and orally in a presentation, also in front of responsible practitioners.

Qualification Goals

On completion of the module, students are able to

  • summarize a larger project in writing by means of a report including an executive summary,
  • present it in a short presentation, also in front of responsible practitioners, and
  • discuss results and deal constructively with professional criticism.

Prerequisites

None.
