This module includes analyses of economic interactions, cooperation and coordination mechanisms in situations with limited information (e.g. in organizations, between contracting parties or in committees). In particular, it addresses the role of decision latitude, incentive structures and information acquisition mechanisms in such situations.


Qualification Goals

After completing the module, students will be able to

  • name various obstacles to cooperation and coordination and relate them to incentive structures,
  • summarize important results from the relevant literature, e.g. from the field of organizational economics, contract theory or game theory, and
  • apply this knowledge to specific problems.
