B.Sc. Business Mathematics — Specialization Modules
Modules totaling 51 LP must be completed in this area of study. One of the modules Numerics (Basic Numerical Methods) and Financial Mathematics I must be selected. In addition, at least three modules in economics must be taken, all of which must be chosen from either business administration or economics.
In order for a major to be shown on the transcript, all modules chosen in the major must be assigned to the appropriate major. Modules marked with an "A" count toward the numerics/optimization emphasis, and modules marked with a "B" count toward the stochastics emphasis; mathematical modules not marked with an "A" are not assigned to any of these emphases. Modules with a "C" count towards the specialization in economics; the letters indicated behind them indicate the specialization: "C:A" for the specialization in accounting and finance, "C:M" for the specialization in market-oriented corporate management, "C:I" for the specialization in information and innovation management, and "C:V" for the specialization in economics (if several letters are indicated behind "C:", the module is assigned to several specializations). In each of the four concentrations in economics, basic principles are taught in some modules, which are prerequisites for participation in more advanced modules; information about this is provided on the WWW page of the bachelor's program in business mathematics.
