Modifications of the Cormus (VL):

This course provides an overview of the mophological and ecoloigical diversity of higher plants and thus also contributes to the understanding of plant systematics. Adaptations of root, shoot, leaf, flower and fruit of spermatophytes are discussed, which are relevant ecologically, but also for human use. The lecture is suitable for all biologists interested in organisms.

Peculiarities of the plant world:

Seminar topics highlight a wide variety of aspects of botany, especially ecological and morphological features and useful plants. The papers will be presented as a lecture but will also be made available as a web page. An introduction to web page creation will be given.

Modifications of the corm (UE):

In these morphological exercises, the most important variations of vegetative and generative organs of spermatophytes are worked on by making microscopic and macroscopic preparations and creating drawings and photographic images. The results will be summarized in contemporary forms of documentation, thus simultaneously practicing the use of digital photography and image processing software.

Qualification Goals

The basic structure of higher plants is to be recorded and its manifold modifications recognized as ecological strategies as well as the basis for the development of useful plants.

Use of manual microtomy, micro and macro photography, scientific sketching, electronic image processing, poster and web page creation, research.

Expansion of plant knowledge

Object-related scientific presentation of findings
