Contents

The Technology and Innovation Management module is the introductory and foundational course for the Technology and Innovation Management (TIM) major. The management of innovations requires different or at least modified instruments compared to traditional methods of business administration.

The following topics will be dealt with:

  • Subject and necessity of innovation management
  • Resistance, promoters, interface management
  • Entrepreneurship and innovation culture
  • Innovation process and project management
  • Technology and innovation controlling
  • Success factors of innovations.

Qualification Goals

The aim is to convey the special tasks and contents of the management of innovations and technologies. The module also aims to clarify the relevance of technology and innovation management for strategic corporate management. In particular, students should develop an understanding of the opportunities and risks of innovation projects and be sensitized to the topic of "entrepreneurship". Imparted key qualifications are: Methodological competence (ability to analyze, abstract and networked thinking), classification of technology and innovation management in the context of business administration and in innovation economics (thinking in contexts).
