The fundamentals of international trade theory and basic knowledge of real foreign trade theory, instruments of foreign trade policy and the institutional foundations of the world trade order are taught.


Qualification Goals

Students acquire knowledge of the theoretical and economic policy foundations of international economic relations. They will be able to provide theoretically sound explanations for patterns of trade, for differences in production between countries, and for the pattern of international investment. They will acquire the competence to analyze and critically discuss aspects of international trade in a theoretically sound manner.
