  • Elementary geometry
  • Complex numbers and geometry
  • Matrices in the high school teaching of linear algebra
  • Interfaces between school and university analysis

Competencies:

Students

  • Are able to make a variety of connections between school mathematics and university mathematics. They are able to explain the relevance of university mathematical approaches to dealing with school mathematics and use them to understand school mathematical topics in greater depth,
  • have basic knowledge of a delimited elementary mathematics topic area and can use this for didactic analyses,
  • have insight into the historical development of a delimited mathematical subject area.

Qualification goals:

Students establish connections between school mathematics and university mathematics and have basic knowledge of elementary mathematics.
