Contents

Students learn about subject-specific didactic goals and content in their concrete relation to everyday school life and in the classroom. Teaching-related project work serves this purpose in particular.

In this module, students will learn to,

  • to justify the educational goals of the subject and to present and reflect on their legitimacy and development ("General Education and Mathematics Teaching"),
  • to acquire and present subject didactic theories for the teaching and learning of mathematics,
  • to plan, design, implement and evaluate subject-specific lessons,
  • to present and reflect on the basics of subject-specific and requirements-based performance assessment and learning support,
  • to analyze subject-specific learning difficulties and to explain them exemplarily as well as to assess support possibilities,
  • to be able to plan and implement the use of media in mathematics lessons in a well-founded manner.

Qualification goals:

Students will be able to plan, design and implement mathematics lessons on a subject-didactic basis. This also includes aspects of performance assessment, learning support and the use of media.
