Qualification Goals

The aim of this module is to provide an understanding of the multiscality and multilocality of knowledge and innovation processes. Based on economic geographic theories, knowledge is imparted to understand global-local dynamics in their interdependence and path dependency.

Students will be able to independently analyze and explain internationalization processes of innovation and knowledge based on theory and to evaluate their spatial effects.

To this end, they will acquire skills in problem analysis, the application of theoretical and methodological approaches and their critical reflection.

Students acquire social and communicative skills through group work, presentations and discussions. Intercultural understanding is promoted through the development of international comparative case studies.
