The module introduces students to central fundamentals of macroeconomics. In addition to national accounts, students learn how to analyze macroeconomics in the short and long run. Important topics include growth theory and business cycle theory.


Qualification Goals

The aim of the module is to introduce students to the theoretical and economic policy foundations of macroeconomics. Students should acquire the competence to develop an initial understanding of macroeconomic relationships and to be able to comment on current problems in macroeconomics.
