Overview of cooperation in economics and resource management, explanatory approaches of the New Cooperation Economics with in-depth study in the area of cooperative cooperation; contributions of modern economic theory to cooperative cooperation and cooperation in resource management (common pool resources) and examples.


Qualification Goals

Students will deal with the basic principles of economic cooperation as a hybrid between market and hierarchy and become familiar with the areas of application of modern cooperation economics based on institutional economics. Successful completion of the module will enable students to analyze and evaluate the principles and relevance of cooperative cooperation in industrial and developing societies as well as in the management of natural resources and the provision of (local) public goods.
