Contents

The module looks at start-ups as a process from identifying and evaluating opportunities to acquiring relevant human and monetary resources, building an organization, and managing a start-up. In addition to theories and concepts, relevant practical methods and procedures that support this process are taught.

Qualification Goals

The module teaches essential practical and scientific skills. The module is particularly recommended for students for whom starting their own business is an interesting career option. In addition, participation is of interest to those who wish to supervise strategic changes in business models and/or spin-offs in established companies. Theoretically, the essential elements and process steps of a business start-up are shown, described in detail and approaches to the implementation of a start-up project are presented. This knowledge will be tested in a written exam.

Practically, they learn how to translate this content into a business plan and how to defend it orally in front of potential investors (by means of a presentation).
