Contents

New, massively parallel sequencing technologies (''next generation sequencing'', NGS) have become an important tool in all biological disciplines. This module will cover the path from tissue to bioinformatically analyzed sequence data.

Qualification Goals

Participants should have an understanding of the challenges that NGS technology poses to sample preparation. The control and analysis of NGS data sets using software, including at the command line input level, should be understood.

Prerequisites

None.

Applicability

Module imported from B.Sc. Biologie.

When studying B.Sc. Mathematics, this module can be attended in the study area Minor subject Biology.
