Qualification Goals

The aim of this module is to enable the participating students to carry out independent scientific work in the field of empirical capital market research. In the lecture part of the course, central econometric and statistical methods that are used in empirical capital market research are introduced on the basis of selected financial issues. At the same time, students will have the opportunity to apply these methods directly to empirical data using the Stata software package in the department's PC pool. In this way, participants in the module acquire knowledge in financial data analysis that qualifies them for the implementation of an empirical thesis as well as, beyond that, for numerous activities in the financial sector.

Prerequisites
