Contents

The module includes an in-depth examination of the fundamentals of competition theory and competition policy. Industrial economic models as well as different types of restraints of competition (cartels, mergers, abusive behavior of dominant companies) and their combating by competition law will be dealt with.


Qualification Goals

Upon completion of the module, students will be able to,

(1) explain basic models of industrial economics,

(2) analyze market structures and behaviors of firms for restrictive effects on competition, and

(3) explain the ways in which competition law can address such competitive restraints.
