The module provides an in-depth introduction to key fundamentals of macroeconomics. Important topics include open economy, aggregate supply, stabilization policy, central macroeconomic problem areas, and microfoundations of macroeconomic relationships.


Qualification Goals

Upon completion of the module, students will be able to,

(1) name central macroeconomic theories and explain how they work,

(2) critically discuss model results,

(3) relate the models to real-world developments, and

(4) draw economic policy conclusions with the help of the theories.
