Contents

  • Problem analysis, design, implementation, quality assurance and documentation of a larger software system on the basis of modern concepts and tools of software engineering.
  • Planning and implementation of software projects
  • Iterative software development, in which each iteration concludes with a milestone acceptance

Qualification Goals

Practical experience in the systematic development of a larger software system along a defined software development process. More precisely:

  • Practical experience in designing a larger software system,
  • Deepening of modeling and programming skills,
  • Practical experience in creating high quality software,
  • Experiencing structured teamwork over a longer period of time,
  • Guided learning of project management tasks according to the principles of software engineering,
  • Recognizing typical conflicts of objectives between commercial and IT perspectives,
  • Practical experience in documentation and presentation of project results.

Prerequisites

None. The competences taught in the following modules are recommended: Object-oriented Programming, Algorithms and Data Structures, Software Engineering.

When studying B.Sc. Business Informatics, this module must be completed in the study area Practical Modules.
