Contents

The module includes an introductory overview of accounting obligations under commercial and tax law, the principles of proper accounting, inventory and stocktaking, and the balance sheet and income statement as components of the annual financial statements. The module provides basic knowledge for the compulsory and in-depth modules of the ''Accounting and Finance'' area, but also shows specific references to other sub-disciplines of business administration.


Qualification Goals

Upon completion of the module, students will be able to,

(1) Reproduce essential concepts of accounting,

(2) correctly apply accounting techniques and recognize basic accounting relationships; and

(3) evaluate the possibilities and limitations of the accounting tools covered.
