Contents

Physical terms and concepts: Temperature, heat, ideal gas, fundamentals of kinetic gas theory, main laws of thermodynamics, entropy, real gas, states of matter and phase changes, thermal expansion and transport; electrostatics, currents, magnetostatics, matter in a field, electromagnetic induction, alternating current, oscillating circuits, electromagnetic waves.


Qualification Goals

Students gain important specialized knowledge of the interrelationships of electricity and heat theory. Using fundamental experimental findings and their mathematical description, students learn physical methods and ways of working. The importance of experiment and theoretical model building is taught.
