Topics from the field of computer science. The special technical orientation of the seminar is determined by the lecturer.


Qualification Goals

The students shall

  • work independently on a special topic of computer science,
  • acquire the ability to carry out independent scientific work,
  • learn to identify and prepare connections in computer science and to complete them with explanatory contents
  • learn how to deal with scientific literature and how to search for it,
  • practice giving a structured presentation tailored to the audience's competences,
  • Deepen the handling of presentation media,
  • develop the ability for structured discussion about topic from computer science in groups.

Prerequisites

None. Previous knowledge is recommended, depending on the subject of the seminar, but generally knowledge of the basic modules of computer science and mathematics.

  • B.Sc. Computer Science
  • LAaG Computer Science

When studying B.Sc. Computer Science, this module must be completed in the study area Advanced Modules in Computer Science.

The module can also be used in other study programs (export module).
