Qualification Goals

This module opens the door to an in-depth examination of Geographic Information Systems and emphasizes the acquisition of related, methodological skills. Emphasis is placed on operational analysis using GIS modules linked via simple scripting languages (e.g., Python). Only with this can complex spatial analysis be implemented and GIS datasets fully appreciated.

A problem-based learning concept is also used to train the topics of project management, progress control and presentation of results.

When studying M.Sc. Mathematics, this module can be attended in the study area Minor subject Geography.
