psw is a mozilla extension that allows the user to switch between "no proxy", the manual or the automatic setting (specified in edit -> preferences -> advanced -> proxy) from the context-menu of the currently displayed page. (see screenshot to the right)

vpn:splitroute

Splitroute is a small tool that adds an entry to the windows forwarding table leading to the network specified by destination address+netmask, using the first available ppp interface. WARNING: Split routes are considered a security threat as they might open up a hole in a firewall that can be used by an attacker to gain access to a corporate network. However there are environments where a split route enables access to a private network via a VPN while other traffic is routed through another gateway (i.e. the ISPs default gateway).
