Qualification Goals
The focus is on selected aspects of the human-environment relationship: 1) the historical dimension of human-environment interdependence; 2) the current discussion of sustainable resource use; and 3) the consideration of future scenarios, e.g. against the background of global warming or urbanization.
Students receive an overview of the state of scientific knowledge and current discussions and become familiar with basic interrelationships, specific methods and important technical terms. Different methods for recognizing complex interrelationships on an example to be analyzed are applied and evaluated. Students expand their social and communication skills through group work, discussions and presentations.
