The following topics are covered:
- Special challenges of long-living software systems
- Technical and organizational aspects of targeted software evolution
- Methods, techniques, and tools for software evolution
- Open problems in the software evolution
Qualification Goals
Aim of the module:
- Getting familiar with a given software project in a systematic way,
- Elaboration of a conclusive evolution plan,
- Performance of a smaller evolution task,
- Training of oral communication skills in the exercises by practicing free speech in front of an audience and during discussion,
- Gaining experience in team work by project work.
Prerequisites
None. The competences taught in the following modules are recommended: Object-oriented Programming, either Algorithms and Data Structures or Practical Informatics II: Data Structures and Algorithms for Pre-Service-Teachers, System Software and Computer Communication, Software Engineering, either Software Lab or Software Lab for Business Informatics.
