Topics and contents that relate to learning areas of school mathematics (e.g. didactics of stochastics, didactics of analysis) or focus on overarching competencies (e.g. use of methods, media and computers as well as conception and application of tasks).

Competences:
The students understand mathematics education as the science of learning mathematics and have profound knowledge of teaching and learning processes. They have
- subject-related reflection competencies on the specific ways of understanding mathematics,
- basic mathematical-didactic competencies concerning concepts of mathematical education, central mathematical thought processes, didactic analysis of teaching topics, concepts for learning mathematics at school, evaluation of curricula and textbooks, and reception of didactic research results.
Qualification goals:
Students have in-depth knowledge of mathematics didactics up to current research results and can use this knowledge for teaching purposes, e.g. for the analysis of teaching topics or for the targeted construction of learning opportunities.
Prerequisites
None. The competences taught in the following modules are recommended: Analysis I, Analysis II, Linear Algebra incl. Foundations of Mathematics.
