The module introduces students to central fundamentals of macroeconomics. In addition to national accounts, students learn how to analyze macroeconomics in the short and long run. Important topics include growth theory and business cycle theory.


Qualification Goals

Upon completion of the module, students will be able to,

(1) name central macroeconomic theories and explain how they work,

(2) critically discuss model results,

(3) establish relations between the models and real-world developments and

draw economic policy conclusions with the help of the theories.
