In the module, fundamental and theoretical topics of the didactics of computer science are developed. Based on questions concerning the self-image of the subject as well as the historical development of its theory, ideas, tools and subject didactics, the objectives of computer science as a general education subject are discussed. On this basis, various didactic and methodological approaches to central concepts and subject areas of computer science are examined, taking into account the special features of computer science as a subject. Particularly suitable teaching approaches, teaching methods and media for teaching computer science content are discussed and also examined with regard to differentiation options.
Qualification Goals
The students
- justify the educational goals of the subject Computer Science and present and reflect its legitimation and development in the social and historical context,
- know and present subject-didactic theories and subject-didactic research for teaching and learning.
Prerequisites
None. The competences taught in the following modules are recommended: Object-oriented Programming, either Basic Linear Algebra or Basic Real Analysis.
