This module contains important econometric methods for analyzing economic data. Topics covered include the methodological foundations of empirical economic research, the bivariate and multivariate OLS model, statistical tests and model selection. These methods are applied to real empirical data.
Qualification Goals
After completing the module, students understand the most important methods of empirical analysis in economics and their limitations and are able to
- evaluate empirical studies and
- conduct their own empirical work.
