Dieses Modul baut auf den Inhalten des Moduls Applied Econometrics auf. Es führt fortgeschrittene ökonometrische Methoden zur Analyse wirtschaftlicher Daten ein, wobei ein besonderer Schwerpunkt auf der Analyse makroökonomischer Daten und Zeitreihen im Allgemeinen liegt. Relevante ökonometrische Untersuchungsmethoden werden mit makroökonomischer Theorie kombiniert, und es wird erörtert, wie Letztere mithilfe realer Daten untersucht werden kann. Das Tutorium stärkt die Kompetenz der Studierenden in der eigenständigen Analyse makroökonomischer Daten.

Nach Abschluss des Moduls verstehen Studierende die wichtigsten ökonometrischen Methoden zur Analyse von Zeitreihendaten und sind in der Lage,

  • makroökonomische Theorien auf empirische Daten zu beziehen,
  • fundierte Kommentare zur empirischen Arbeit anderer Forscher abzugeben und
  • eigene empirische Arbeiten durchzuführen und zu interpretieren.
