Die Studierenden
- können Methoden zum Erstellen von computer-generierten Bildern von hoher visueller Qualität beschreiben und können diese einsetzen; dies umfasst z.B. Themen, wie die Modellierung einer dynamischen virtuellen Szene, Freiformkurven und -flächen, Verfahren zur globalen Beleuchtung, oder Methoden zur Darstellung von Volumendaten,
- können die Architektur aktueller Grafikkarten erklären und begreifen die Grafikkarte als einen enorm leistungsfähigen Stream-Prozessor mit vielen parallelen Recheneinheiten, der auch für aufwendige Berechnungen außerhalb der Computergrafik eingesetzt werden kann,
- können parallele Programmierung auf der Grafikkarte anwenden,
- sind in der Lage, wissenschaftliche Arbeitsweisen beim eigenständigen Erkennen, Formulieren und Lösen von Problemen anzuwenden,
- sind in der Lage, über wissenschaftliche Inhalte frei zu sprechen, sowohl vor einem Publikum als auch in einer Diskussion.
