Im Kurs werden wesentliche Aspekte der digitalen Wertschöpfung dargestellt und diskutiert. Dies reicht von der strategischen Positionierung eines Unternehmens über die Optionen von Organisationsstrukturen bis zur digitalen Gestaltung von Geschäftsmodellen und operativen Prozessen.

Studierende sind nach Abschluss des Moduls in der Lage,
- Fragen der innovativen Ausgestaltung und Digitalisierung von Wertschöpfungsprozessen wie etwa die Gestaltung digital-vernetzter Infrastruktur (z.B. Automatisierung, AI, IoT etc.), der Prozesse für die Digitalisierung (z.B. Datenmanagement, Data-Science) oder die Optimierung interner/externer Wertschöpfungsprozesse (z. B. Supply-Chain-Management) zu beschreiben und zu analysieren,
- die im Kontext dieser Aspekte relevanten Konzepte zur Lösung einfacher Problemstellungen in Fallbeispielen anzuwenden und Lösungsvorschläge für konkrete Problemstellungen zu diskutieren.
