Contents

Population geography deals with the spatial impact of demographic structures and processes. The spatial differentiation and spatiotemporal change of the population in its structure and dynamics at different scale levels (global, national, regional, local) are analyzed, explained and evaluated.


Qualification Goals

Students will gain an overview of the state of scientific knowledge and become familiar with basic correlations, specific methods and important specialist terminology. Students acquire subject-specific and interdisciplinary methodological and application skills for analyzing and evaluating spatially relevant issues of demographic change and spatial mobility. They expand their social and communication skills through group work, discussions and presentations.
