Contents

The seminar takes the form of an advanced exercise with direct reference to a practical market research project. The content of the advanced exercise includes planning, implementation and evaluation of the results of the market research project with practical relevance. Statistical analysis tools (such as SPSS, AMOS, etc.) are used for data evaluation. The aim is to structure concrete marketing-related problems from the specialization modules (M-MARK/HA or M-MARK/HA) or the supplementary competence field (GHM) and to develop proposed solutions in group and individual work. For this purpose, suitable concepts and theories are to be selected and used to develop solutions.

Qualification Goals

The advanced exercise teaches the relevant skills and knowledge of information acquisition, data evaluation and interpretation of market-relevant information with a view to a selected problem from marketing for both scientific and practice-oriented work. Students learn the skills required for independent planning, execution and data evaluation of market research projects as well as the skills required for the application of suitable statistical programs (including the application of multivariate analysis methods). In the course of the advanced exercise, students gain the competence to practically apply theoretically learned procedures for data analysis and data evaluation and to understand their mode of operation. Other skills learned independently include obtaining the relevant scientific literature, structuring and writing the term paper to be written independently.
