Contents

The module imparts basic knowledge of organizational forms, methods, and modes of action of regional planning and land use planning with special consideration of Germany's federalist system. In addition to the instruments and legal foundations of regional development planning, regional planning and urban land use planning, concepts for settlement structure development, means of enforcing spatial planning goals, European spatial planning policy and EU funding strategies are also presented.


Qualification Goals

The acquisition of subject-specific and methodological knowledge as well as an understanding of the mode of action, objectives and limits of German spatial planning in a political context are competence-oriented objectives of the module.
