Probabilistic modelling, random variables in personal insurance, biometric and other calculation bases, present values, equivalence principle.

Health insurance mathematics:

Legal framework in the structured health insurance system, premium calculation, ageing provision, accounting principles for health insurance, profit participation and its use, profit analysis, key figures.


Qualification Goals

Students will

  • become familiar with the basics of actuarial modeling and actuarial control cycles in health insurance,
  • independently model simple tasks of a practical and theoretical nature, then lead them to a solution and present it in a realistic manner
  • practice mathematical working methods (developing mathematical intuition and its formal justification, training the ability to abstract, reasoning)
  • improve their oral communication skills in the exercises by practicing free speech in front of an audience and during discussions.
