Contents

Scientific-theoretical and economic foundations of business administration;

Basic concepts and theories of value-based management;

Overview of the functional areas of business administration and basic principles/tasks of corporate management;

Instruments of corporate management, esp. corporate governance systems, strategies and planning, and organization.


Qualification Goals

Students are familiarized in a scientifically sound manner with the common theoretical and institutional foundations and tools of business administration as well as the task areas and instruments of value-oriented corporate management. They will recognize the links to the course content of other modules in both business administration and economics. Students will be enabled to understand complex business management interrelationships. In this context, the aim is also to provide the students with the ability of abstraction required for solving complex (business administration) problems.
