Qualification Goals

Biogeography as a networked environmental research focuses on biodiversity patterns of terrestrial ecosystems in their conditionality by climate, plate tectonics, climate history and human interventions.

Students will gain an overview of the state of scientific knowledge in biogeography and become familiar with basic relationships, specific methods, and important terminology. The handling of current, also English-language, technical literature for the deepening of general principles on the basis of special examples is treated. They expand their social and communication skills through group work, discussions and presentations.
