Contents

Biogeography as a networked environmental research focuses on biodiversity patterns of terrestrial ecosystems in their conditionality by climate, plate tectonics, climate history and human interventions.


Qualification Goals

Students will gain an overview of the scientific state of knowledge in biogeography and become familiar with basic contexts, specific methods and important technical terms. The handling of current, also English-language, specialist literature for the deepening of general principles on the basis of special examples is covered. They expand their social and communication skills through group work, discussions and presentations.
