The module will first discuss in detail the Nash equilibrium concept in various constellations (such as mixed strategies, dynamic games) before covering population games, evolutionarily stable strategies, and replicator equations.
Qualification Goals
Content: providing a basic understanding of the concept of an evolutionarily stable strategy, connection with Nash equilibrium concept, applications such as sex ratio, Hawk-Dove, prisoner's dilemma, etc.
Methodological: handling of different equilibrium notions in game theory. Treatment of dynamic problems (discrete-time, continuous-time).
