Contents
Items of theoretical physics that go beyond the compulsory modules may be the subject of the module. Examples include general or special relativity, fluids, continuum mechanics, magnetism, quantum field theory, theoretical solid state physics, superconductivity, soft matter theory, turbulence, and random matrices.
Qualification Goals
In a second contact with the module series Advanced Theoretical Physics, students deepen their knowledge of the objects and methods of this field. Through this, they improve their abilities to apply methods in a goal-oriented manner and to evaluate methodological approaches. They gain greater confidence in assessing questions and evaluating possible solutions.
Prerequisites
None.
Applicability
Module imported from B.Sc. Physik.
When studying M.Sc. Mathematics, this module can be attended in the study area Minor subject Physics.
