This module contains specific applications in various fields of economics (e.g., specific regulations or gender-specific aspects). They are analysed using institutional economic concepts. Issues relevant for a theoretical as well as policy-oriented analysis are discussed.


Qualification Goals

Students completing the module will be able to,

(1) analyze specific problems using institutional economics concepts,

(2) critically evaluate the effectiveness of various policy instruments, incentive systems, or regulations; and

(3) apply this knowledge to specific problems.
