Based on the basic modules Linear Algebra and Analysis, topics from one or more of the following areas are covered:
- algebra
- number theory
- geometry
Qualification Goals
Students will have
- Acquired basic knowledge and skills in algebra/number theory and/or geometry,
- learned about the development of a mathematical theory in the respective area and experienced its applicability,
- practiced mathematical ways of working (developing mathematical intuition and its formal justification, training the ability to abstract, reasoning),
- improved their oral communication skills by practicing free speech in front of an audience and during discussions.
Prerequisites
None. The competences taught in the following modules are recommended: either Foundations of Mathematics and Linear Algebra I and Linear Algebra II or Basic Linear Algebra, either Analysis I and Analysis II or Basic Real Analysis.
