  • LaTeX: basic principles of TeX and LaTeX, outlining documents, internationalization, mathematical formulary, creating and incorporating raster and vector graphics, Tikz, page layout, defining new macros and environments in LaTeX, counters, indexing, BibTeX, letters, Beamer-TeX.
  • Complementary software: BibTeX, Inkscape.
  • Presentation techniques.

Qualification Goals

Students will be able to

  • effectively use the LaTeX text typesetting system to create their own documents, letters, and BeamerTeX presentations,
  • know typographical standards of mathematical formula writing and implement them with LaTeX,
  • implement style specifications of scientific journals,
  • give presentations using BeamerTeX.
