This module includes a discussion of various forms of institutions (markets, laws, social norms, political institutions, etc.). An understanding of the development of different institutions and their effect on the behavior of individuals is provided. An overview of the major theoretical approaches in institutional economics will be provided.

  • die Rolle von Institutionen als Lösungen für gesellschaftliche Kooperations- und Koordinationsprobleme zu erklären und
  • im Zusammenspiel aus formalen und informellen Institutionen Erklärungsansätze für kulturelle Unterschiede zu identifizieren.
  • Sie können verschiedene institutionenökonomische Ansätze auf einfache Problemstellungen anwenden und alternative institutionelle Problemlösungen mit formalen Methoden beurteilen.
