This module contains an initial introduction to basic concepts in economics. Here, the focus is on microeconomics (e.g. demand, supply, markets). Upon successful completion of this module, students will be familiar enough with basic microeconomic concepts and categories that more advanced courses can productively build upon this knowledge.

- grundlegende volkswirtschaftliche Konzepte (z.B. Opportunitätskosten) zu benennen und zu erklären,
- Methoden zur Analyse einfacher Marktmodelle (z.B. Modelle perfekten Wettbewerbs) in konkreten Spezifikationen anzuwenden und
- Marktergebnisse (z.B. Gleichgewichtspreise) in einfachen Modellspezifikationen zu bestimmen.
