Das Modul beinhaltet theoretische und konzeptionelle Grundlagen des Jahresabschlusses (Buchführung und Inventar, Aufstellungspflichten, Handelsbilanz und Steuerbilanz (Maßgeblichkeit), handelsrechtliche Vorschriften für alle Kaufleute (Ansatz- und Bewertungsvorschriften), ergänzende Vorschriften für Kapitalgesellschaften) und Grundzüge des internationalen Jahresabschlusses. Darüber hinaus wird der Bereich des Jahresabschlusses im Gesamtkontext der Betriebswirtschaftslehre verortet, der Bezug zu angrenzenden Fächern vermittelt und aktuelle Formen der Unternehmenspublizität umfassend gewürdigt.

Studierende sind nach Abschluss des Moduls in der Lage,

  • die wesentlichen Merkmale, Inhalte und Zusammenhänge des Jahresabschlusses zu benennen und auf dieser Basis rechnungswesenorientierte Entscheidungen zu treffen,
  • komplexere jahresabschlussbezogene Probleme selbstständig und strukturiert zu erkennen, zu bearbeiten und zu würdigen,
  • Möglichkeiten und Grenzen gängiger Ausgestaltungen von Jahresabschlüssen sowie ergänzender Rechenwerke fundiert zu beurteilen.
