A different topic is offered each semester; the following topics are offered in rotation:
- Personality profiles and other diagnostic tools in personnel management
- The regulation of personnel policy and the employer-employee relationship in Germany
- Digitalization and artificial intelligence in personnel management
- Motivation, job satisfaction, group processes and team dynamics
Qualification Goals
In this seminar, a key topic of personnel management is explored in depth, e.g. recruitment, personnel selection, personnel controlling, personnel appraisal, personnel development, personnel retention or staff reduction.
After completing the module, students will be able to
- identify the influencing factors of the main topic and deepen them in a job-oriented manner,
- classify the contribution of the focus topic to organizational success,
- explain the connection between the focus area and the other functions of personnel management,
- reproduce and critically evaluate the statements of the main theories of the focus area,
- explain central design aspects of the focus topic and apply them in case studies.
Prerequisites
None. The competences taught in the following module are recommended: Human Resource Management.

When studying B.Sc. Business Mathematics, this module can be attended in the study area Free Compulsory Elective Modules.
