Contents

The module is an introductory and fundamental course for the topics of innovation management and innovation management. The management and marketing of innovations requires different or at least modified instruments compared to traditional methods of business administration.

The following topics are covered: Object and necessity of entrepreneurial innovation management, resistance, promoters, interface management, core tasks of innovation management, core tasks of innovation marketing, segmentation of markets for innovations, success factors of innovations and success factors in innovation marketing.


Qualification Goals

After completing the module, students will be able to

  • describe the special tasks and contents of the management and marketing of innovations,
  • explain the relevance of innovation management and marketing for strategic corporate management and operational marketing,
  • explain what role customers play in the innovation process, on the one hand as users of innovation and on the other as providers of ideas and co-developers of innovation.
  • Students have also developed an understanding of the opportunities and risks of innovation projects and can name and explain the critical framework conditions of innovation management and marketing.

None. Note: The module cannot be taken if the module Technology and Innovation Management has already been successfully completed.
